This programme covers the essential information required by a supervisor or manager with responsibilities for health and safety and normal operation of a filling station in Ireland and has the responsibility of receiving fuel deliveries.
Although there is a focus on petrol forecourt staff to take this course, it is also suitable for delegates who work in industries such as car manufacturing, logistics, marina, transport and logistics etc.

Any person or manager working in a filling stationwho requires a working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of managing a filling station.
What will be covered?
- Identify the laws applicable to a filling station.
- Identify the documents that must be available on site.
- Understand the basic principles of hazardous area zoning.
- Understand the basic principles of Ullage and calculate using the 90% rule.
- Know how to complete a Dangerous Substances Schedule 4 form.

- Know the key responsibilities of an “Competent Person”.
- Understand the key procedures of a fuel tanker delivery.
- Understand the concept of Driver Controlled Deliveries.
- Know the procedure of dealing with fuel spills and other emergencies.
