prestigious vet awards
ceremony

Lantra is proud to have a whole host of entrants through to the final of the prestigious National SQP Awards 2022, which is being held in London tomorrow (Friday, 11th November) - and is being supported by Vetpol.

The event, organised by Lewis Business Media, will be held at the Grade II Listed One Moorgate Place, home of Chartered Accountants’ Hall, which is right in the heart of the City of London.

Lantra’s CEO Marcus Potter will be attending the event, alongside Directors of Vetpol, Caroline Johnson and Dr Jeremy Johnson.

These major awards recognise the often-unsung achievements and commitment of Suitably Qualified Persons (SQPs) in the veterinary industry and Lantra is incredibly proud to have entrants in the awards.

In the Companion Animal Award category, Lantra has all three SQPs nominated for the awards. These are;

• Jordan Perkins, GreenPaws Grooming

• Paul Cartledge, Jollyes

• Jason Chadwick, Jollyes.

Lantra also has entrants for:

• Independent Store of the Year: GreenPaws Grooming

• Veterinary Practice SQP of the Year: Catherine Chanin, Stringer Equine Veterinary Practice.

Stephanie Harold, Head of Product Development for Lantra, said:

“We are honoured to be involved in these prestigious awards as our entrants have received the recognition they deserve for their dedication, hard work and commitment.

“We now have our fingers crossed for tomorrow, but all our entrants are already winners in our eyes as they are a credit to the industry.”

Caroline Johnson, Director of Vetpol, said:

"We are delighted to be supporting the National SQP Awards this year and are very proud to have no less than four of our SQPs represented as finalists; one of them, Jordan Perkins, is a finalist in two different categories!

“This event celebrates the best of the best in the SQP world. SQPs are at the sharp end of animals’ welfare and protecting the environment.

“Use of medicines in a way that both maximises their efficacy and minimises any potential risk to the environment depends on having qualified professionals able to prescribe responsibly and advise on their use. This in turn, depends upon access to training and a culture of continuing professional development that builds upon their qualification and focuses on best practice.

”Yet, SQPs have lurked in the shadows for years with the majority of the animal-owning public still not knowing who SQPs are nor what they do.

“The National SQP Awards is a high-profile prestigious event that spotlights SQPs; it’s all about giving them the professional recognition they deserve and shining a light on some of the most passionate and dedicated people and businesses in the sector.

“Vetpol wishes ALL the finalists the very best of luck. In our eyes, you are all winners and so are the public you serve.”
