About
Suitably Qualified Persons (SQPs) are animal health professionals who are qualified to prescribe and dispense specific veterinary medicines.
SQPs are registered with a regulatory body approved by the UK's Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD).
For your convenience, this is a totally online qualification.
It's aimed at both those who wish to become SQPs and those who wish to 'top-up' their existing qualification.
The finer details
Our Level 4 Award as a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) qualification gives you professional recognition with the VMD.
It will enable you to operate as an SQP in a retail environment, or as part of a multi-disciplinary veterinary team.
We've designed our qualification around a modern busy lifestyle - it's 100% online and remotely invigilated.
This means that you can sit your assessments whenever you choose, from the comfort of your home or workplace.
Our qualification is also modular and super flexible. So, you can 'top-up' your qualification in bite-sized modules, by adding on individual animal species' units.
We have four species to choose from: Companion Animal, Farm Animal, Equine and Avian.
You can complete just one, two, three or all four species in any combination and at your own pace.
So, it's ideal if you're living in a remote location, or are time-poor and need a flexible, self-study route to competence.
Worth noting: This qualification is assessment-only and does not include training. If required, online training is also available from our Provider Vetpol Ltd.
