This course will give land managers and others who work with upland peatland habitats an understanding of its importance for nature and climate.
It will explain how they can practically make a difference to the peatland they manage, explaining a variety of restoration techniques, surveying and planning, and sources of funding.

- Peatland restoration techniques:
- Hag reprofiling
- Ditch blocking
- Gully blocking with peat dams
- Gully blocking with timber reinforcements
- Access and ground damage
- Considerations to methods
- Things to consider when developing a restoration plan
- Funding restoration work and monitoring
- Visit out on site to see current and past peatland restoration techniques
