The Lantra Awards Level 3 Diploma in Work-based Fencing qualification has been developed to provide nationally recognised certification for those working in the fencing industry who have responsibility for supervising the installation of fencing and fencing components.

Who should attend?

This qualification meets the requirements set by the industry for those seeking to supervise the installation of fencing and fencing components and provides a clear progression route for those already working in the fencing industry who wish to further develop their competence and skills.

In order to generate the evidence required for achievement of this qualification, you must be working as an operative or supervisor within the fencing sector or have a work placement where you will be supervising the installation and/or maintenance of fencing.

As you'll appreciate, this qualification contains some practical activity that will require a minimum level of fitness. If you have any concerns, please speak to your Provider.

  • The principles of installing fencing systems
  • Managing the establishment of lines and levels
  • Controlling the deployment of materials and components
  • Controlling resources in support of fence installation
  • Organising the fencing site
  • Monitoring the progress of fence installation
  • Monitoring the quality of fence Installation
  • Inspecting fencing to identify defects and repair options
  • Maintaining and enhancing productive working relationships
