It aims to demystify risk assessments and build confidence in their use. 

By the end of the course learners will be able to;
- Understand the legal requirements for Risk Assessments
- Understand what Risk Assessments are, what they do, and the different types of Risk Assessments
- Understand the HSE 5-step approach to producing a Risk Assessment
- Identify hazards in the workplace
- Identify who may be harmed and how
- Evaluate risk and consider control measures
- Record findings and address them
- Understand when to review and update Risk Assessments
- Understand Safe Methods of Work
- Be able to produce a relevant Risk Assessment and Safe Method of Work for a task in their own workplace
