This training course is for you if you are required to identify yourself as an emergency first aider in the workplace.

The finer details

This is a one-day training and assessment course. You’ll learn the key techniques to administer first aid.

At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of training in Emergency First Aid at Work.

The course contains the following sessions: 
 
Introduction
Incident management
Unresponsive casualty
Airway and breathing problems
Circulation problems (Wounds and bleeding)
Minor injuries.

Who should attend?

This course is ideal for you if you work in any industry that requires a recognised first aider, especially where identification is required before you give first aid, but does not require a qualification. It is suited for nominated first aiders in low-risk working environments, such as offices.

What will be covered?

The role of the first aider.

Assessing the situation.

Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Dealing with choking, bleeding, shock and minor injuries including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, scalds and small splinters.
