- Understand the purpose of Turfgrass Irrigation
- Understand safe operation of an irrigation system
- Understand water sources for irrigation
- Identify the components of an irrigation system
- Understand pipe materials and joints
- Understand the fundamentals of shut down and pressurising the irrigation system
- How to identify faults on the system, sprinklers and electrical
- Understand flow and precipitation rates from valves and sprinklers
- Understand integrated irrigation technology
- How to install and set-up sprinklers and valves,
- How to join irrigation cables
- How to connect compression and glue irrigation pipework
Worth noting: Irrigation design is not included in this course; however, a separate top-up course in automatic irrigation design is available, 'Turfgrass Irrigation Design (Part Two)'
