The Lantra Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Fork-lift Trucks) is a Competency Based Qualification (CBQ) based on the occupational standards for construction and the built environment, which were set and designed by ConstructionSkills, and which exist to ensure that personnel working within industry meet the required minimum standards.
The qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for plant operations specialising in fork-lift trucks.

This qualification has been designed to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in the operation of plant machinery and will enable you to work safely, effectively and efficiently in the workplace. It provides the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification that reflects the recognised occupational standards for the activities you carry out. These qualifications will enhance your ability to work safely, effectively and efficiently in the workplace, reducing unnecessary risks to yourself and others.
This qualification aims to assess your knowledge and understanding relating to:
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Preparing and operating plant in the workplace.
The assessment will consist of a portfolio of evidence and observation of performance in the workplace.

This qualification is available for individuals aged 18 and above.
