Who should attend?
Anyone who wishes to be an equine professional trainer.What will be covered?
By the end of this course learners will:
• Clearly and accurately carry out self evaluation.
• Have detailed knowledge on the concepts of energy flow and the cycles, as applied between horse and human, and demonstrate the ability to use these cycles when training horses.
• Demonstrate an in depth knowledge and practical application on the use of the round pen when dealing with remedial, older and young horses.
• Demonstrate an in depth knowledge on the methodology and psychology of backing a youngster using a round pen and the practical application of technique.
• Have in depth knowledge and an understanding of the hazards and risks involved when dealing with remedial horses and the application of the techniques required and procedures implemented when working with remedial horses, including the psychology of remedial horses and behavioural modification.
• Have in depth knowledge and an understanding of how to organise a dressage event, a show jumping event, a cross country event, an endurance event and a training clinic.
• Have in depth knowledge of the methodology of teaching and the psychology of dealing with people, the principles of teaching and the psychology of learning.
• Have in depth knowledge of the principles of classical riding and practical application of the teaching of advanced school movements.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the basic requirements, as laid down by legislation, when running a business, including practical application of such knowledge in producing business plans, cash flow forecasts and profit and loss accounts.
• Have detailed knowledge of the mythology and history surrounding horse cults and horse master societies, horse whisperers and their methodology.
• Demonstrate in depth knowledge of the microbiology of cells, basic bio-chemistry and atomic theory, the nature of viruses and bacteria and the pathogenic effects of bacteria, viruses and fungi.
• Have in depth knowledge of the problems that may arise with the rider and their confidence levels, how to evaluate a rider’s phobias, when to refer a rider to another professional and who would be the best candidate for referral.
• Basic knowledge of the different types of alternative therapies available to the trainer to enable maximum performance from the horse.
