It's ideal if you work in a number of industries, from agriculture to landscaping.

This is a hands-on course that delivers both practical skills and health and safety guidance as well as demonstrating that you and your employer have completed sufficient training to meet the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).

This additional module covers the operational requirements of working with Battery Powered Equipment.

The course is a mixture of theory and practical demonstration. 

You'll learn health and safety requirements and how to maintain the power source.

The course is designed to be offered as an addition to other Lantra courses that cover the maintenance and use of hand held equipment such as:

  • Chainsaws
  • Powered pole pruners
  • Hedge trimmers
  • Brushcutters
  • Strimmers
  • Leafblowers.

  • Health and safety information
  • How to install a battery
  • How to remove a battery
  • Transport and storage
  • Safe disposal or the battery, battery charger and machine.
  • Maintenance of battery equipment.
