Fungi - a better understanding (E Learning)

Trees have become an everyday part of most people's lives, whether they are consciously aware of it or not.

As we become increasingly aware of their value to us as inhabitants of this plant, the attention of arboriculturists has moved more towards the direction of tree safety and risk assessment while handling the primary causal agent fungi.

This course will teach students the biological and mechanical structures of both and the different type of decays, life strategies and defensive responses, and will look at the legal implications of tree ownership, tree work, consultancy and ongoing management.

Whilst the course looks at the legal implications of tree ownership and consultancy, it’s essential that anyone working in arboriculture keeps up-to-date with changes in legislation and best practice.

The finer details

There are three modules in this course and one Assessment at the end.

A minimum score of 70% is required to pass it. 

Upon successful completion, a Lantra certificate of training will be available to download and print.
