This refresher will expand your understanding of how to do just that.
It's designed for anyone who currently uses vehicle mounted/trailer boom spraying equipment (hydraulic nozzle) as part of their work in the amenity sector.

Your previous experience of using boom sprayers will be refreshed, helping you continue to apply pesticide with a boom sprayer according to best practice.
We'll also cover decontamination and disposal techniques.

- The Working Principles of a Hydraulic Sprayer
- Preparation of Machinery for Work
- Mixing and Filling/Essential PPE
- Site Work
- Sprayer Decontamination, Disposal of Washings and Machine Storage
- Fault Finding/Conclusion.
Worth noting: To attend this course you must be able to proficiently drive the particular vehicle(s) used during training.

Once you've enhanced your knowledge by completing our course, you'll be able to:
- Identify and describe how vehicle-mounted/trailed spraying equipment works
- Prepare and set up vehicle-mounted/trailed spraying machine
- Choose and use the correct nozzles for any application
- Set and calibrate the machine for a given application
- Fill vehicle-mounted spraying equipment safely
- Clean and decontaminate equipment safely
- Service the machine
- Operate a spraying machine safely and effectively
- Conduct environmental assessments for wind, spray quality, LERAPS, environmental hazards and recognise typical damage.
