Winter Service Operations –
Product Review

First developed and launched in September 2019, our Winter Service suite has gone from strength to strength with over 30 specialist Providers approved to deliver.

We appreciate having Winter Service vehicles off the road, even for a short period, isn’t an option. That’s why we’ve worked with industry to develop our Winter Service Operations training course.

It’s been designed to support operatives in the preparation, maintenance and operation of all current vehicle types, incorporating modular units to give maximum flexibility. This approach has enabled us to both maintain our quality standards and offer competitive prices compared to those charged by City & Guilds.

The key to what makes Lantra courses so successful is not only the unrivalled quality of our training materials but the fact we are constantly checking to ensure our testing standards meet the needs of industry.

The Lantra Awards internal review working group has already met and several suggestions have been put forward for development. Including:

  • Development of a Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Works Supervision
  • Merging the five-course modules into one, to make booking easier
  • An updated presentation for the Health and Safety Awareness module

Over the coming months, the Lantra team will be working with our Providers, Instructors, and industry stakeholders to ensure all proposed improvements are fully considered and adopted as appropriate.

Lantra is committed to training people to work safely, productively, and sustainably in the workplace, and only by continually reviewing our course content, can we ensure we consistently meet the ever-changing needs of industry – employers and staff alike.
