Lantra is absolutely delighted to announce that we have received full accreditation for our Level 3 Work Based Diploma in Veterinary Nursing for both Small Animal and Equine. This is the culmination of four years of hard work from the Veterinary Nursing team in developing and delivering this qualification.
Throughout this period, the team have engaged with a range of industry stakeholders, as well as providers and lecturers, to develop and use feedback to refine the qualification to make it the high-quality offering that it is.
Lantra is extremely proud of the product and achieving full accreditation. The autumn was a very busy time for the team in delivering our first two OSCEs, starting with the Equine at The Open College of Equine Studies in September and the Small Animal at Coleg Gwent in October, along with our first attendance as exhibitors at BVNA 2023.
The team plan to do all of this and more next year, including hosting our first ever graduation ceremony which will be held at St Mary’s Guildhall in Coventry on Saturday 6 July 2024.
Sean Duffy, Head of Industry Partnerships (Veterinary Nursing) said: “We are absolutely ecstatic at having received full accreditation from RCVS to deliver the Level 3 Work Based Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
"We have worked hard this year with a range of industry stakeholders, colleges and Learners and welcomed a range of feedback about the qualifications and ensure that our offer is modern and allows colleges and training Providers the opportunity to deliver an efficient course of study.
We’re confident that the streamlined course structure will appeal to a wider range of students than ever before, and we’re sure that this added flexibility will be of great benefit to your course Lecturers.
