We wound down the provision of a careers information service* back in 2014, when Government funding was cut, but now nine years on, we’re re-establishing our position as a trusted source for career information across a wide range of land-based and environmental industries.
Our new website, with its extensive careers content, marks the first step in our journey. We have a dedicated and passionate careers team who are bringing to life the exciting opportunities the sector has to offer.
If you have a practical interest in securing the future of our planet, feeding a growing population and looking after our natural environment, then a career in the land-based and environment sector is for you. . Our new website provides accessible information to help you get started in pursuing a rewarding career, and understanding the entry-points and pathways for progression. They are many options available including the opportunity ‘earn while you learn’ through an apprenticeship or we can signpost you to relevant training and qualifications.
Our careers information covers the following twelve Land-based and Environment industries: Agriculture, Animal Care, Highways, Land-Based Engineering, Horticulture & Landscaping, Equine, Fisheries Management, Forestry & Arboriculture, Aquaculture, Environmental Conservation, Warehousing & Logistics, and Wildlife Management.
