Lantra prides itself in working with key stakeholders to deliver The Austroads Safety Hardware Training and Accreditation Scheme (ASHTAS). 

 

Lantra’s priority is to ensure that we have a qualified and approved network of training providers in order to enhance the learner journey.

 

The ASHTAS career development initiative is vital in raising standards for the Installation of Road Safety Barriers and keeping both the road worker and the travelling public safe.

ASHTAS Operative

The ASHTAS Operative Course serves as the foundation of the ASHTAS training series, designed as an entry-level program for individuals involved in supporting the installation and maintenance of road safety barriers.


This course provides Learners with essential safety awareness, operational knowledge and the fundamentals for installation training, leading to industry-recognised certification.

 

Succesful Learners will achieve an ASHTAS Operative skills registration e-Card, valid for three years.  

 

ASHTAS Installer A Workshop

The ASHTAS Installer A Course is the second stage in the ASHTAS series of courses, designed for Operatives seeking to increase their knowledge and skills for the installation of road safety hardware.

 

The Learner will complete classroom training, either in person with an end of course invigilated test, or via 'live' online training with an Instructor, and an end of course proctored test.

 

Successful Learners will be issued an Installer A e-Logbook and complete the 'generic' units, evidencing practical skills.

 

ASHTAS Installer B Workshop

The ASHTAS Installer B Course is the third stage in the ASHTAS series of courses, supporting the 'generic' Installer A Course.

 

The Learner will complete classroom training, either in person with an end of course invigilated test, or via 'live' online training with an Instructor, and an end of course proctored test.

 

Successful Learners will be required to complete the Installer B e-logbook units for the specific Public Domain system.

 

Learners must complete a minimum of one Public Domain system.
