The marketplace of opportunity

Guests discovered the real facts about apprenticeships at a myth busting seminar in Newmarket

Lantra and KEITS held an exicitng and thought provoking seminar where guests found out about the apprentice experience from an employer’s and apprentices perspective.

Following a myth busting seminar that looked at the true nature of apprenticeships, Laura from Dudley Zoo and Stephanie from Dibgate Farm described their personal stories and what they like about being an apprentice.

But are there benefits for the employer? Plenty according to Mia Korenika from Grange Farm Stables, and Dr David Beeston, Laura's employer at Dudley Zoo. Both enthused about what apprenticeships meant to their business and described how it is a great solution to gaining skilled staff that are tailored to their needs.

Following the seminar, employers also had the chance to talk to local providers in the Provider Marketplace to find out the next steps towards taking on an apprentice of their own.
