Qualification development and support process
When submitting proposals to Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) for accreditation of vocational qualifications, awarding organisations are required to get the support of the relevant Sector Skills Council or Standard Setting Body. Lantra has developed a qualification development and support process to assist with this.

Generic assessment strategies for SVQs and residual NVQs on the NQF: These documents are located below and replace the existing individual assessment strategies. They have been revised to take account of the changes to age descrimination legislation. Specific assessment guidance is now contained within separate documents.
Guidance documents on the assessment and evidence requirements for SVQs: These documents are located below and contain guidance on the assessment and evidence requirements for qualifications based directly on National Occupational Standards (SVQs). There is one guidance document for each suite of NOS.
Note - Guidance documents on the assessment of ‘NVQ type’ and ‘work based’ qualifications for the QCF will follow shortly.
